Italian American Fiction for Your TBR
Give me family drama, generations of history, and a strong sense of place, and I’m instantly interested. Add Italian American representation into the mix, and even better. This list of Italian American fiction includes stories relevant to the Italian American experience: immigration, identity, family expectations, organized crime, and the pull between old traditions and new lives. Most of the books are historical fiction, my sweet spot, but I’ve also included a few from other genres that felt too fitting to leave out. Not every book here is written by an Italian American author, but they all feature Italian American characters, families, communities, or history in a meaningful way.
