What This Week: May 15
I’m back, baby! I didn’t plan to take a month off from the blog, but it was much needed. Work was crazy leading up to our two-week European adventure (Paris & London), and all my time not working was spent planning for our trip. But now I’m back and ready to bring you the best new book content, starting with this fresh edition of What This Week: May 15 featuring what I’m reading, watching, and wearing. And be sure to sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss any of the fun new content I’m publishing soon!

What This Week: Reading
Even though I took a break from content creation, I’ve still been reading! I’ve blown through some great audiobooks the past few weeks, and I’m currently listening to the new Carley Fortune romance, Meet Me at the Lake. It’s ok so far, especially considering that Fortune herself narrates the book. The premise is maybe a little far-fetched, but I’m sticking with it for now.
Up next on audio will be Drowning, the newest from TJ Newman. I absolutely loved her first book, Falling, which I rank as one of my top 5 best audiobook experiences. Drowning is out on May 30, so you’ve got time to find a copy of Falling to listen to asap!
I just started To Die Beautiful, the brand new WWII resistance story from Buzzy Jackson. The book focuses on a group of young women who fought the Nazis during the Dutch occupation. I loved a similar story and hope this one is just as good!

Thank you to Historical Fiction Virtual Book Tours for hosting a fun tour of this new historical romance! The Castle Keepers is an intergenerational story based around a fictional estate in England featuring three different storylines from three different authors. It’s perfect for fans of clean historical romance. 4⭐️ read for me!

What This Week: Watching
We are obsessed with Succession in this house, so there hasn’t been much else on the radar. The drama this season is intense, particularly this highly charged scene between unhappily married Shiv and Tom. It’s SOOOO good that I had to rewatch a few times to catch all the digs and slights. Anyone who enjoys reading domestic thrillers or books with complicated family dynamics should be watching this show. Highly recommend it!!!
What This Week: Lifestyle
I’ve shared that my makeup regimen has drastically changed since I began working from home. Most days I swipe on mascara and that’s about it. But with our recent trip, I knew I wanted to step things up a bit, but I also wanted to keep things light. So, I went to Sephora in search of a creamy concealer, long-lasting cream shadow, and brows to die for! Here are my finds, all of which I highly recommend to achieve a fresh look like the one featured here. ☺️

This Saie Hydrabeam Brightening & Hydrating Creamy Concealer is dreamy!

I am obsessed with how easy this Ilia Liquid Powder Eye Shadow Tint is to apply! And it lasts!

This Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is the best brow filler I’ve found!

I use this Sephora Brow Brush to apply the pomade and sculpt my brows before setting.

This clear Benefit Brow Setter Gel lasts forever and polishes my brows for a fresh look! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
That’s a Wrap!
What a fun way to start the week! I love sharing more about my day-to-day life, so if that interests you as a reader, stick around. Blogging is a personal journey, one that I miss since I shut down my travel blog in 2018. To me, there’s no better way to be creative and have fun! I hope you stick around for future updates via email, Bookstagram, or Booktok! Have a great week, bebes!
